WHAT IS STREETSEED

STREETSEED is a boutique real estate consultancy and architecture lab. We turn constraints into opportunities, complicated rules into simple concepts, and ideas into action.  We thrive on tough problems and difficult cases, because we believe that severe limitations are seeds for invention.

Our company is built by individuals with deep experiences in architecture, real estate and finance.  The dynamic intersection of these disciplines forms the foundation of our practice.

We tackle a whole gamut of real estate-related activities across a variety of scales and settings, but our expertise is in:

  • Full-service architectural design: from site selection to creative programming, iterative design, and proactive project management.

  • Real estate analytics, market research, market valuation, acquisitions and due diligence.

  • Strategy consulting and brand development.

  • Property management.

OUR TEAM

Alex Tseng

ALEX TSENG

Design Director

alex@streetseed.com

Born and bred in a cookie-cutter suburb in Los Angeles, Alex grew up questioning the status quo.  He gave up an enviable job managing one-off projects and founded STREETSEED when several clients approached him to revitalize prototypical projects in deplorable conditions.

Prior to founding STREETSEED, Alex worked on several major New York area projects, including the competition-winning AdaptNYC proposal to develop a new model of housing in light of changing demographics; the Columbia University Manhattanville expansion project; and J2, the tallest residential tower in New Jersey.  More recently, he was in charge of large-scale masterplan and commercial projects around the world – many of which are under construction – as Design Associate at CAZA.  He enjoys spending weekends taking his bike off the beaten path and getting creative in the kitchen.

Cleo Yang

CLEO YANG

Director of Operations

cleo@streetseed.com

Growing up in fast-paced New York City, Cleo thrives on taking quick steps and adapting to dynamic environments. She believes there’s always a more efficient way of doing things, and doesn’t easily give up trying to find one. Her studies at Dartmouth College focused on Economics. In her younger days, she was awarded finalist for a “Tales of Tomorrow” essay contest, a testament to her curious mind.

Along with STREETSEED, she manages the mobility budget for Goldman Sachs through designing financial tools providing transparency into spending patterns. She consistently executes ideas thoughtfully and flawlessly. Having worked with many large and complex data sets over the years, Cleo takes the lead in STREETSEED’s efforts to optimize real estate analytics for small-scale developers. She is excited to bring her strengths and energy into identifying untapped markets for tomorrow’s projects.

PEOPLE

We keep our team small and curated with just the right people for the job, and strive to align our ideas with the strengths and passions of every person.  We have developed relationships with experts in the AEC industry, from zoning attorneys to developers, expeditors, engineers, handimen, and contractors.  These relationships enable us to test the waters with confidence, and have repeatedly proven valuable in bringing ambitious ideas to fruition.
